Czech Republic, Prague, 13th of March 2012. Not with skis or board, but with a kayak and paddle will head to Herlíkovice everyone who loves risk and that, what is hidden in the word ADRENALIN. The ski resort Herlíkovice on Saturday 24th of March 2012 starts 2nd year of non-traditional kayak race on the snow – Snow Kayak Cross.

Only CZ text, but you can see some nice pictures! Jsme opět na cestách, tentokrát u vodákům zaslíbeného města Hood River v Oregonu. Po 3 dnech užívání si na klasikách této oblasti v podobě White Salmon a Little White Salmon nás kamarádi lákají na jakýsi vodopád, o kterém jsem nikdy neslyšel.

In this „H2Omovie“ we will paddle in Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Portugal, Australia (Tasmania – CZ expedition Franklin river 2010), USA (Idaho – Payette river, CZ expedition Colorado – Grand Canyon 2011), France (Corse), New Zealand, Norway, Albania and of course in CR in Prague.

When I got to Idaho U.S. a few weeks ago I had no idea what kind of experience Payette and its North Fork arm can possibly be. I went down the lower and middle part of a 15 mile run rated WW5 and after having gone down this bit a few times I heard that there’s something called “Vertical Mile”.

The canoe & kayak race held on the river Moldau (Vltava) was one of the most famous water races of the 1920’s. The race wound over many rapids and wiers on its way from České Budějovice to Prague. However once the dam cascades on Moldau (Vltava) were built the race had ended.
