;HerlA�kovice, 24th of March 2012:A�On the 525 meters long track there were problems for last years winners and many other sports stars. 34 racers started including cross country skier Martin Koukal, ski jumper Roman Koudelka, snowboardcross racer Michal Novotny, ski jumper, paraglider Jan Skrabalek, racing driver and kayaker Vladislav Maroul and Petra Slivova, five time world champion in paragliding.
All these famous sports names were left in the shade of the final four – TomA?A? Andrle, Stanislav Groh, Michal TA�A�ska and Martin Himl, who took away the head from the track builder and last years winner Vladimir Fort, nicknamed Breh (member of H2Omaniaks team).
“I race first time. It was hard race and i had a fear for a moment. After i forgot it and bet to confidence in paddling our style” the brand new winner Martin Himl smiles just after the race.

The experiences shared with us cross country skier Martin Koukal, whose wife Vanda was declared as the best female competitor: “To the first turn I would say, that it was a struggle for life, then I just raced and I wanted to go to next round. But I missed a training ride and I definitely missed that. So I hope that next year will be better” said Koukal. Snowboardcross racer Novotny advanced to the semifinals: “It was a great day, the weather was favourable, and I just enjoyed it. It was fun, but the board is the board” smiles the master in his discipline.
The sun shining and the temperature rising to over twenty degrees complicated the job of the organisers, who had to fix the track several times during the race and again to test its safety. “The snow melted fast and the track was changing every minute, so we did what we could,” describes the work of the organisers track builder Vladimir Fort.
The track set on a hillside with an elevation of 70 meters was built by a total of 15 people. The kayakers reached a speed close to 40 kilometres per hour.
